Lesson 3

In this lesson with matt we are to produce a small presentation on Project management tools. We are to find out how these tools will help us within a project and how they would be useful (Identify and Evaluate). I am building a presentation and explaining some of the tools what I find will be useful. These are just some examples;

•Gantt chart – using a visual tool (saves time) A Gantt chart shows tasks and events displayed against time. It will show a beginning and an end of a task, how long there scheduled to last etc..

•PERT - A PERT chart is a project management tool used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks within a project. (Program Evaluation Review Technique.

•MS Project – make duplicates, instant distribution (copy/tweak it for other projects)

•MS Visio – Allows to draw flow charts, data flow diagrams (charts/diagrams)

Lesson 1

Introduction

This was our first PPM lesson with matt. We had an Induction to the course telling us what the course consists of (Group work and projects).
We did a small group task.
